The Wheel turns—and the heat rises.

This week, Boston reached 102°F, breaking its all-time June record and marking only the third time in recorded history that the city has hit triple digits in June. And summer has only just begun.

This isn’t just weather. It’s a warning.

As witches, we honor the four sacred elements—Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. But today, each of them is suffering:

🌬 Air Once the breath of life, now thick with wildfire smoke, urban smog, and rising asthma rates. Heat domes trap pollution, and our lungs bear the cost.

🔥 Fire Once sacred, now searing. Wildfires rage longer and hotter. Crops wither. Power grids strain. Fire is no longer just a symbol of transformation—it’s a force reshaping our economy and ecosystems.

🌊 Water Floods, droughts, poisoned wells. Rising seas threaten coastlines while others go thirsty. Water is sacred, but it’s no longer safe or sure.

🌱 Earth Soil erodes. Pollinators vanish. Forests fall. The land that once fed us now struggles to breathe beneath concrete and chemicals.

And yet—we are not powerless. Too many of us have been taught to believe we’re too small, too late, too broken to make a difference. That’s a lie. We are powerful.

We are wise. We are worthy. We know that thoughts shape reality, and actions shape futures.

Devotion doesn’t have to look like incense and incantations. It can look like planting native seeds. Like showing up to a cleanup. Like writing to your city council. Like teaching your children to love the land.

Let us build our altars not only with sacred objects, but with time spent in service to the Earth. Let our offerings be our deeds. Let our worship be our work.

This is our covenant: To live in harmony with nature. To protect what is sacred. To remember that our Mother needs us—and we need Her.

Let this heatwave be more than a headline. Let it be a turning point. Because the Wheel still turns. And so can we.
